This programme is intended for managers, who have already attended a core skills security management course, such as Security Management Stage 1. The course is designed to enhance a Security Manager’s ability to implement security risk management programmes that will make a quantifiable difference to organisational loss reduction goals. This course focuses on developments in security risk management, addresses a range of complex issues and focuses on how to select and specify technology and other security services

This course is Skills for Security Accredited and forms the second part of the pathway towards the University of South Wales MSc in International Security and Risk Management (Masters degree)

This course incorporates a challenging project in which the delegates are required to undertake a detailed risk analysis for a notional company and recommend a security countermeasures plan and a credible budget forecast.  These must be supported by a business case and aligned with the Company’s corporate and business goals.

MSc with the University of South Wales

Clients who complete the Security Management Stages 1, 2 and 3 can then go on to complete a Masters degree on a distance learning platform through our sister company, Perpetuity Training Academy, in collaboration with the University of South Wales (USW).

The MSc International Security and Risk Management develops and enhances critical theoretical knowledge, security management skills and understanding in an area which presents significant demand for professionalisation worldwide. This Masters programme is delivered through online distance learning, which allows you to combine studies with your work schedule. Learners gain valuable interaction with others on the course through a specially designed online learning platform, which includes virtual forums and discussion groups.

Supported by course tutors from both Perpetuity Training and USW, students will be enrolled directly with USW and will have full online access to the university library.

Each completed ARC Training Security Management stage gains university credits towards the full MSc.  Upon completion of all three stages, delegates can apply for a total of 80 credits from the 180 credits required for the full MSc. If awarded, learners will be exempt from the first three modules and will receive a discount from the course fee.
